We are currently looking for someone to fulfil a split role opportunity at Woodfield School which encompasses the following:
Welfare Officer: GLPC Points: 12-17 – 3 days per week
GLPC Points 12 – 17, £27,807 – £30,195 & Special School Allowance, £1,289 (FTE 1.0).
Actual starting salary: £15,106.64
· attend to pupils’ personal needs, including social, health, hygiene, first-aid and welfare matters including the possibility of intermate care.
· co-ordinate all aspects of the medical office systems and routines
Lead Learning Assistant: GLPC Points: 5 -11 – 2 days per week
GLPC Points 5 – 11, £24,804 – £27,357 & Special School Allowance, £1,289 (FTE 1.0).
Actual starting salary: £9,030.78
· To carry out work, care and/or support programmes for pupils, under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff.
· To enable access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
· To contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:
· Good First Aid skills (additional training will be given)
· Strong verbal and written communication skills appropriate to the need to communicate effectively with a wide range of pupils, teachers/carers.
· Strong numeracy and literacy skills, equivalent to NVQ level 2 in English and Maths
