Welfare Officer (Lower School)
Required for March 2018 or sooner
36 hours per week – term time plus 5 inset days
Salary – Scale 4 Spinal Point 18 – 21 (£18,070 – £20,138 pro rata)
plus London Weighting (£1,848 pro rata) circa (£15,795 - £17,434 inclusive LW)

We are a happy, inclusive and over-subscribed school, serving a diverse and vibrant community. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Welfare Officer to join our team and contribute to our growth and development.
We are looking for a Welfare Officer who can:
· provide effective, high-quality first aid care to children and students and all members of the school community
· manage more complex welfare/medical needs and requirements of specific students, including storage and administration of medication
· monitor daily student attendance and liaise with parents as necessary
· provide clerical and administrative assistance for the office supervisor
· supervise children before the start and after the end of the school day
· work between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm
Excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a team and a flexible working attitude are essential for the role.
