Ossett Academy & Accord Sixth Form is seeking to appoint a Wellbeing Support Officer to support the improvement of the physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing of secondary-aged pupils to enable them to effectively access education, working in partnership with pupils, parents, families and specialist services.
The role will involve providing a positive and engaging environment for pupils to work including creating and maintaining an engaging learning environment for pupils. The successful candidate will be required to support and work with specific pupil(s) supporting emotional literacy, health and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of programmes of support/self-help strategies to address individual health issues, and deliver training to support staff.
Ossett Academy is part of the Accord Multi Academy Trust which is a Wakefield based Trust; all four academies in the Trust are closely located to one another which lends itself to many opportunities to work closely and collaboratively. All academies are within a three-mile radius of one another and can be found a short drive off junction 40 of the M1.
