Whole School Assistant Head – Teaching and Learning required for September 2020 or earlier by mutual agreement for Dukhan English School

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional teaching practitioner to join the school in this key leadership position.

To help deliver this we are seeking a dynamic, Whole School Assistant Head of Teaching and Learning to work directly with the Principal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on the development and review of assessment systems to ensure robust evaluation of pupil and school performance
• Analyse attainment and progress data from all Key Stages
• Devise action plans to secure improvements against appropriate national standards
• Utilise GL Assessment Suite to personalize learning to raise individual levels of attainment
• Experience of using formative assessment systems to evaluate the curriculum
• Work in conjunction with the AHTs and SEND/Pastoral teams to secure improvements in Teaching and Learning and drive improvements in standards and expectations
• Develop and lead a systematic approach to professional learning to ensure that staff continue to develop and are able to make progress on change initiatives
  

Essential:

• Qualified Teacher Status
• At least 3 years’ experience as an outstanding school leader, preferably in a high performing UK or international school
• Highly effective team leader, able to motivate and engage other staff in change/new ideas
• Proven team management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Commitment to continued personal and professional development
