Date posted:
Start date: September 2018
Contract type: Part Time / Full Time
Salary: £90-£195
Contract term: Supply
Suitable for NQTs: Yes

A relatively new school in Swadlincote is looking for a teacher to cover one of their year 2 classes from September until at least the October half term, if not for the full autumn term. They have asked for someone who is calm and kind, and willing to go the extra mile for the children in their care. In addition they would prefer a teacher with recent experience in a similar role in a school.

With it being relatively new the school has very modern facilities and teachers will have access to a lot of learning resources to assist them in the classroom as well as in planning for their lessons. As the school is in Swadlincote it is commutable from Derby and the surrounding areas, with parking on site as well as public transport access.

Each class has round 25-27 pupils and a higher level teaching assistant is available for each year in the school, with their time usually split equally between each class or any 1:1 assistance needed. The role is set to finish at October half term, however if it isn’t uncommon for a school to extend the placement or to offer a full time role to the right candidate.
