About Lanesborough School

Lanesborough School, first established in 1930, is an independent pre-preparatory and prep school. It caters for around 360 boys aged 3-11. The school is located in Guildford, Surrey, and often serves as a “feeder school” to the nearby Royal Grammar School.

Since its founding, the school has seen extensive expansion, with numerous new buildings and facilities being added. Although owned by the same governing body as the Royal Grammar School, Lanesborough is independently run, and as such transference to the Royal Grammar School at the age of 11 is not guaranteed.

Lanesborough sets rigorous academic standards and invests heavily in its teaching facilities. An individual focus on students is of paramount importance, with teachers working hard to ensure self-confidence in pupils and that achievement is properly rewarded. The school also provides a great deal in the way of extra-curricular activities.
