£130 - £150 per day PAYE

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is holding QTS and recent teaching experience in KS2.  

The role 

Smart Teachers are recruiting for a full time, Year 4 Class Teacher to work in a three-form entry school in Hackney. The candidate will be working with a Year 4 class as Year 4 Class Teacher from for the whole academic year. The role is likely to be made permanent for the right candidate. The pupils in the year 5 class are a lively bunch, full of varying characters, all with the potential to really exceed in their learning. There are two children in the class, who require SEN support, however have their own 1:1 TA, therefore the right candidate would have lots of support!  The Year 4 Class Teacher will be responsible for the planning and delivery of stimulating lessons! There may also be potential, should you wish, to start a new extra curricular club to introduce some new skills within the school. This will be discussed over time.

The school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and fosters a positive attitude to all forms of learning including play and communication. The staff like to ensure that pupils are treated with respect and as mature learners, fostering a fruitful education to all pupils. The school are aware that life skills are pivotal in all aspects of education, and such skills are regularly introduced and encouraged to help the pupils grow in confidence.  Each classroom is fitted with an interactive white board, colourful notice boards and displays of pupils work across the academic year. Their achievements are celebrated amongst pupils and staff. The school is located within a 10 minute walk from Dalston underground station.

Requirements 

To be considered for the Year 4 Class Teacher, you must:

• Hold QTS

• Have recent experience teaching KS2, ideally Year 4

• Eligibility to work in the UK (must have a valid visa)

• Deliver lessons in a stimulating and enthusiastic manner
