St Joseph's is a Catholic Primary School located in Boorowa, approximately one and one-half hours from Canberra. For the last 125 years, St Joseph's has provided and continues to provide an educational experience that develops the academic, creative, social, and spiritual dimensions of each student. St Joseph's is a small community school servicing the town and surrounding region.

We are currently seeking to appoint a Year 5/6 Classroom Teacher at St Joseph's Primary, Boorowa. The successful applicant will be required to carry out the duties of providing an engaging curriculum for their students based on current teaching practice and behaviour management strategies informed by a variety of forms of assessment
To be successful in this role, you will have the capacity to contribute to the spiritual and community life of the school and possess a sound understanding of current educational practice. Additionally, you will have the ability to plan and manage the teaching and learning process to accommodate a diverse range of educational needs and learning styles.

Please note that this is a full-time temporary position commencing from Term 2 - Term 4 2021. This position is temporary in nature because the substantive occupant (the incumbent) is taking parental leave. The incumbent is entitled to return earlier to their substantive position in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.

This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with CE policy.
