Vision for education are seeking Youth Support Workers to join our team from September 2021 for a supply role in Chesterfield.
The role
The role of Youth Support Worker will involve you working in a variety of schools and settings, supporting young people who are disengaged from education in the Chesterfield area. This can work around your personal circumstances, for example alongside your studies, another job or on a full time basis.

Requirements
To be considered for the Youth Support worker position, you will:
Have a minimum of 20 days experience in a school based support role
Or
A reference to cover a 6 week period (this does not have to be full time) experience on a relevant setting as above
Previous experience of working with behaviours that challenge is highly desirable
Able to engage with and support young people who are disengaged from mainstream education
An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or the willingness to apply for one
The ability to work on initiative and proactively
The desire to work with young people with special educational needs
Available full time
