The Christmas holidays are a great time to rest and recharge, but they are also a good opportunity to keep your fitness up by doing a few home workouts and activities that will keep you nice and healthy over the festivities. 

Don’t let all your hard work in the lead-up to the festive season go to waste by being lazy over the Christmas holidays.

Here is a short-and-simple, no-equipment, at-home workout that will definitely keep you in great shape. Why not give it a go?

Try 45 seconds of each exercise with 15 seconds rest, four times through - or challenge yourself to even more rounds if you can.

Squat jumps

Shoulders back, abs pulled in, down nice and low into the squat and then explode into a jump. Nice soft landing and repeat. 

Plyometric lunges

Shoulders back, abs pulled in. Lunge position then add a jump in the middle to switch legs. Explosive power. 

Double oblique climbers 

On the floor, hands below your shoulders and up on your toes. Drive your right knee in towards left elbow for two and then repeat on the other side.

Cycle sit-ups

On your back, opposite knee to opposite elbow, one sit up then repeat. 

Squat tuck jumps

Three regular squats keeping shoulders back and abs pulled in. Into one explosive tuck jump then repeat.
