At Ryan Catholic College we provide a Catholic education for both boys and girls from Prep to Year 12 on two campuses (Prep to Year 4 and Years 5 to 12). Our students are offered a diverse curriculum in modern, well-equipped facilities. 

Applications are invited from experienced and customer service focused applicants to commence in Term 3 2019.

What we are looking for: 

  • Skilled applicants with the relevant experience
  • Ability to maintain front reception and be the first point of contact
  • Strong customer service skills and excellent communication both verbal and written
  • Outgoing, bubbly and friendly demeanour with the ability to build rapport with staff and parents

The duties of the Administration Assistant/Enrolment Officer include, but are not limited to:

Switchboard/Reception and Clerical Functions

    • Reception on Junior Campus
    • Telephone reception
    • Student and staff first aid and sick bay
    • Liaison with parents and staff for sick or injured students
    • Secretarial support to Deputy Principal - Junior School
    • Secretarial support to APRE – Junior School
    • Enrolment processes for Prep – Year 4
    • Student departure processes for Prep – Year 4
    • Completing Student Data Transfer Note for interstate transferees
    • Forwarding student portfolios and information to new schools as requested
    • Incoming and outgoing mail
    • General typing
    • Administer medication to students as per requirements
    • Distribution and maintenance of first aid kits
    • Maintain and update Prep – Year 4 student medical alert information
    • Maintain the MAZE database for students and families Prep – Year 4
    • Emails to families

Administrative Support

  • Manage the appointments for the Deputy Principal, providing relevant information for such appointments.
  • Monitor staff access/telephone calls/correspondence to the Deputy Principal
  • Assist the Leadership Team with College activities including, but not limited to Assemblies, Spring Fair, Leadership Meetings

 

Selection Criteria

  1. Proven history of professional and confidential work ethic
  2. Experience in the use of Google and Microsoft Office Suites at an advanced level
  3. Proven ability in providing friendly and diplomatic assistance to staff, students and parents
  4. Current First Aid Certificate with proven ability and experience in administering first aid
  5. Demonstrated capacity to organise and prioritise a range of tasks in a busy environment
  6. Ability to work with limited supervision and in a team environment
  7. Current or eligibility to apply for Blue Card - Working with Children
