St Leonard’s C.E. Primary School is currently transforming from a one form entry to a two form entry school, based in Lambeth. We are a happy, friendly and hardworking school that has high expectations of both staff and children. 

We are seeking a committed and highly professional Administrative Officer to join our team.   

Hours of work: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm, term time only 

You will be first point of contact for the school, dealing with enquiries from parents, pupils, staff and members of the public. Preferably you will have previous experience of working in a school or have worked in a busy office and professional environment. 

You will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day organisation and maintenance of the school office and its procedures.

It is essential that you have a good education to A level, or of an equivalent standard, with Maths and English GCSE’s graded between A to C.   

You will: 

  • Be friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills 
  • Be well organised, motivated and enthusiastic 
  • Have good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Be reliable and be able to work between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm
  • Able to use own initiative

About St Leonard's Church of England Primary School

St Leonard’s Church of England Primary School is a mixed CofE primary school and nursery, situated in Streatham, south-west London. The school has approximately 204 pupils aged 3-11. 

St Leonard’s CE Primary School was founded in 1813. The school opened its nursery and took its first two forms of Reception-aged children in September 2016. It has a partnership with the Lambeth Music Service and provides opportunities for learning musical instruments, along with singing, acting and dancing.

St Leonard’s Church of England Primary School wants to serve the community by providing high-quality education to children across Streatham and south-west London. The school nurtures Christian beliefs, promoting the values of faith, hope and love. Pupils are encouraged to achieve to the best of their abilities in an inspiring and caring environment. 

In 2011, the school introduced the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) to establish a creative and practical teaching approach. St Leonard’s encourages children to become active citizens through a student council, where issues concerning school life are debated.
