We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our school as a Careers and Work-Related Learning Adviser, working within our small team: the Assistant Principal, Raising Achievement and a part time Careers Coordinator
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time: 41 weeks
Salary Range: Grade currently under review. Expected Grade 7, SCP 24 -27 (£29174 - £31895)
Expected Actual Salary: £26099 - £28533 per annum
Start Date: September 2022
About the role:
As Careers and Work-Related Learning Adviser you will offer a full range of careers guidance and support to students, contributing to a programme of workshops and delivering tailored skills sessions. Working with students, particularly in Years 9 - 11 and post 16, you will provide clear advice on careers, subject options and post 16 options. Additionally, you will help to plan, develop and realise careers policy and outstanding practice across the school. You will be expected to work closely with the Post 16 Team and Achievement Leaders and develop and maintain effective partnerships with local and national employers.
Ideally you will have:
• Previous experience in careers guidance within an educational setting
• Knowledge of the learning opportunities open to school leavers at 16 and 18, including training and employment options
• Ability to work effectively to timescales and deadlines and prioritise and manage own workload
• Effective communication and ICT skills
• Relevant CEIAG qualification, such as NVQQ level 6 in Advice and Guidance.

Penistone Grammar School really is a special place to work.
