Values and Vision
City of London Academy Islington believes that academic success is achievable only when students enjoy being at school. Its vertical house system groups together students from Years 7 through to 13, adding to the family atmosphere the school is seeking to create. It works with a curriculum which is broad and balanced, and which provides children with necessary life experiences.
The school is aiming to become an outstanding academy in the near future, and is committed to improving the lives of young people from the Islington area.
In 2019, Ofsted awarded the Academy an outstanding rating, noting that “the school has been transformed into an exciting environment where pupils and staff thrive. Outcomes are outstanding and pupils’ progress is exceptional. This is a school where ‘no child is left behind.”
