Job overview
For April 2022
Exeter School seeks an experienced, full-time Exams Officer for April 2022 after the excellent service of the current postholder for the past seven years. This represents a restructuring of the exams team and a real opportunity for the right candidate to become an integral part of our happy and successful school.
In addition to having experience of working in a school environment and within the examination process, we are looking for someone who has excellent planning and organisational skills, an attention to detail, enjoys working together with colleagues and is proficient in the use of spreadsheets. The successful applicant will have honesty, integrity and a calm approach. It would also be useful to have some experience of BTECs and the isams information management system although this is not essential.
This is a full-time post but there is some flexibility over the exact nature of this, whether it is full-time all year round or full-time in term time plus some days in the school holidays, and this can be discussed further at interview.
Starting in April 2022, the new Exams Officer will work alongside the current team during the summer 2022 exam season to enable an effective handover.
Closing date: Monday 3 January 2022, 12 noon
Anticipated interview date: 10 or 11 January 2022
For further details and to submit your application, please visit our website www.exeterschool.org.uk/about-exeter-school/vacancies. Completed application forms should be uploaded to the TES jobsite. Our application form must be completed – CVs alone will not be accepted.
Exeter School is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from any appropriately qualified person. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. Employment is subject to the receipt of two satisfactory references provided specifically for this post and addressed to the school, and to satisfactory DBS clearance.
