Penistone Grammar School Advanced Learning Centre is looking to recruit a permanent Executive Assistant.  The Executive Assistant will play an integral part in the further development of Penistone Grammar School Advanced Learning Centre as we strive to become a beacon of excellence at both local and national level.

Supporting all areas of business development from marketing and brand improvement, to staff training and development, the Executive Assistant will be pro-active, creative and demonstrate a consistent commitment to producing work of the highest standard, acting as a powerful role model within the Associate staff team and across the staff body.

We are looking for an Executive Assistant who shares our vision and can inspire and support our young people to achieve more than they believe is possible. As a school, we pride ourselves on our consistently high standards, both in terms of learning and in terms of behaviour.  We have a commitment to the success of all students, academically and pastorally and expect all our staff to share this commitment.

The successful candidate will have either previous experience in a similar role, or will have transferrable skills and experience and be excited at the opportunity of taking on a role within this key area.

Our school is ‘Good’ poised to be ‘Outstanding’ very soon.  We are a vibrant, oversubscribed 11 to 18 comprehensive school with excellent GCSE results across all subjects; we are recognised as one of the highest performing schools in the region in terms of Key Stage 4 outcomes.  Our A level results and destinations are equally impressive, with the school placed in the top 10% for performance (according to ALPS) and over 95% of all students gaining entrance to their university or apprenticeship of choice.

We are committed to professional development for all staff regardless of role.  We have a programme of training specifically designed for those who work within an administrative staff capacity.  This is complemented by a series of whole-school associate staff training events and an annual leadership development programme.

If you are looking for an opportunity to work in a school where our values are at the heart of all we do and where tradition and innovation perfectly complement each other, we are the school for you.
