 TES Global, the world’s leading website and magazine for teachers, is seeking a General Manager to lead its commercial activity across the region.   


What you’ll do      


The GM, APAC will hold responsibility for leading all sales  and commercial activity within the APAC territory with a view to rapidly increasing the penetration of Tes  Global services within the universe of International Schools using English language as the main medium of instruction.       

The GM, APAC will also be responsible for growing revenues from the current portfolio of products and for identifying and integrating any strategic investments that TES Global may make to accelerate its international K-12 business, as directed by the Managing Director, International.       

This position will line manager all sales staff responsible for delivering targeted revenue within the APAC territory.         


Who you are  

We are seeking a driven and experienced Sales Manager with experience  of managing high value revenue contracts ideally within the international schools arena.     

This entrepreneurial leader will have excellent business development skills and will be a serial achiever with  experience of exceeding a sales budget and managing service delivery across multiple businesses.  You will have experience of driving growth in previous roles, ideally in an education-centric environment with strong experience working in Asia markets.       

You will be a motivated team player,  able to partner effectively with other members of senior management and experience leveraging different internal business units to achieves objectives whilst approaching your work with pragmatism and a sense of humour. You will be a clear thinker with a strong grasp of English, and will develop good relationships across the broader international team. Diplomacy is a must.    

A strong analytical mindset with strong data orientation will be beneficial and you must have the ability to be creative with regards to product value sales, community development and customer experience.     

 Due to international time zones there is a need to be flexible with daily start and end times in order to speak with certain clients.
