Head of Mathematics

It is an exciting time for the Mathematics Department at Theale Green School, we are looking for a passionate educator and leader who really understands and appreciates the impact of strong leadership on team performance to lead the team forward on their next stage. Our Mathematics Department consists of five committed, talented and experienced staff who work collaboratively to consistently deliver high quality learning for our students. The team are aspirational for our students and have developed strongly in terms of their approach to teaching and learning. Our current Head of Mathematics is moving far closer to home after building a strong team over the last two years.

The mathematics team have worked creatively over recent years to develop an exceptional Mathematics curriculum with cognitive science at its heart. Our curriculum has cultivated strong links between departments, with the emphasis on cohesion and real-life links. This curriculum enables students to make outstanding progress between years 7 and 13, with a significant number of students progressing on to STEM related university courses or prestigious apprenticeships. Theale Green School is part of the Activate Learning Education Trust consisting of seven secondary schools. We have a rich history in both Sport and the Arts, as important contributors to every young person’s development.
