More about our school

The Dyatmika Learner Profile

Dyatmika’s Learner Profile embodies the school’s aims for the development of the young people enrolled in our school.

Bilingual education

In Primary, students are immersed in a stimulating bilingual English and Indonesian learning environment so that they develop as users of both languages. Our outstanding International and National teachers embrace current educational research in the area of bilingual education.

In High School, students are taught in English; Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A Level programmes demand fluency in English, and our programme provides this. However, our aim remains that our students become part of the local community, with language a powerful tool to enable this goal. Bilingualism is maintained with the provision of first language Bahasa Indonesia classes, together with second language classes that support the development of all students’ Indonesian language level.

A warm and caring school community

Dyatmika School has a strong and stable community. Many families send their children to Dyatmika for their entire school career. Our welcoming school is small enough to recognise and embrace the strength of every individual yet big enough to be socially diverse.

Over its 28 years of operation the school has grown steadily from 27 students to around 740 students. Students ages range from 3 years old in playgroup to 18 years old in the graduating year when students have completed their A Levels (this is called Class 12 in Indonesia).
