The Thrive Co-operative Learning Trust (Thrive) formally YHCLT and is responsible for nine schools across Hull; two secondary and seven primary. We are committed to ensuring that all of our schools have access to high quality support services to underpin the excellent work that our schools do in educating our pupils. 

Stepney Primary School is looking for a HLTA to join their team. You will be required to work 35 hours per week.

The successful candidate must have an understanding of the primary curriculum and a positive approach to managing children’s behaviour. The candidate should have high expectations of the pupils and of themselves and be fully committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for our children. A specialism in PE is desirable, however experience in other subjects will be considered.

We also expect candidates to have excellent communication skills as well as excellent skills in English, Maths and hold the HLTA qualification or equivalent. The candidate will be hard working, creative, enthusiastic and able to work constructively and proactively as part of a team.

At Stepney Primary we aim to be an outstanding, learning-centred school which is always looking forward: breaking down the barriers, widening the horizons!   

Stepney Primary School has approximately 242 pupils, with 40 of this number in the school's nursery. The school itself is based in a grade two listed building, built in 1886 and opened to pupils in May 1887.

It is a community of children and adults in which everyone contributes, everyone enjoys and learns, and where everyone is valued. A small school with great expectations.
