Industrial Placement Coordinator (T-Levels) and Careers Advisor (Work/Employment/Apprenticeships)

Start date: asap (initially fixed term until 3 July 2020)

4 days per week, term time plus 8 additional days to be worked during College closures

Salary £17,510 per annum inclusive of Inner London Weighting Allowance

(pro-rata of £24,624 per annum)

We have an excellent opportunity for an Industrial Placement Coordinator to join our successful Careers Department and to play a major part in our pilot of industrial placements for T-Level qualifications.  You will use your local knowledge and research of local commerce and industry to actively source work placement opportunities and interview students, seeking to create effective industrial placement matches which develop students’ employability skills and help them to thrive in their course.  

You will be a motivated self-starter with the highest level of commitment to identify new work placement opportunities. This role would suit someone who is able to work independently and who can initiate and monitor projects.  Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written are essential, together with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.  The position would suit someone with a minimum Level 4 professional qualification and recent industrial experience or a recent graduate who has a real interest in supporting student achievement and progression.
