We now have an opportunity for an outstanding professional to join our team as a Lead Practitioner of History. This role allows you the opportunity to be part of the transformation of a community and the life chances of the young people we serve. You will make a difference to the school by leading by example, and supporting the development of others within the History team.

The successful candidate will have outstanding specialist knowledge and experience of successful teaching throughout Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. They will have a proven track record as an excellent teacher, fully meeting the national professional standards for teachers and leaders.

Pay Range: £44,541 - £54,840

About Meridian High School

Meridian High School is a forward-looking, dynamic Academy, on a journey of rapid improvement within GLF Schools. Based in New Addington, Croydon, Meridian High School first opened under it's current name in 2015. It was previously known as Addington High School and has around 1,200 pupils. The secondary school and sixth form was named for the prime meridian line, which passes through the school grounds.

Meridian High School does a great deal to ensure that pupils have a strong sense of family and take pride in their school. Teachers seek to ensure that pupils develop both inside and outside the classroom, with extensive extra-curricular activities on offer.
