The department has transformed itself in the last four years and is a model of good practice for others. Following our inspection in November 2016 the HMI described Poole High School as a good school that is ‘rapidly improving’. In 2017 Maths attained 77% at grade 4 and above and 22% of the cohort at grade 7 and above. Maths is highlighted in the Ofsted report as an area of excellence in the school.
