We wish to appoint a full time Modern Foreign Languages Coordinator to join an outstanding department. The successful candidate must have the ability to teach Spanish at GCSE and
A-level, be well qualified, keen and enthusiastic who will join a lively team of dedicated teachers. Our repeatedly oversubscribed School achieved 80% 5 A*-C (4+) including Maths and English in 2017 and the Sixth Form received an ‘outstanding’ ALP’s judgement in 2016. In our previous Ofsted Section 5 inspection both ‘Behaviour & Safety’ and our Sixth Form were judged ‘outstanding’. In our most recent monitoring visit (January 2018) Ofsted stated that the ‘…steady and reassuring approach ensures the strong commitment of staff…’ and ‘the teachers are welcoming and friendly, and it creates an atmosphere where you belong …’
In MFL we achieve consistently outstanding results – in June 2017, 73% achieved A*-C in GCSE Spanish and 89% A*-C in French with 33% achieving A-A* along with 40% A-B at A Level MFL. The MFL Department currently has four dedicated teaching rooms all equipped with interactive white boards.
