About the role

Columba Catholic College, Charters Towers is seeking experienced and dedicated Residential Houseparents for the Girls Boarding Facilities at St Mary's Campus. These roles will be Term Time positions, completing between 15 and 38 hours a week depending on the successful candidates' availabilities. Ideally, the successful candidates would be able to commence as soon as possible on a Fixed Term Contract, until the end of the 2021 School Year. 

The Residential Houseparent is a member of a team appointed to act in a pastoral/supervisory role of residents in a residential situation. The team is a group of people with a high degree of interdependence geared towards the achievement of the goal of caring for those in their charge. The quality of care will be enhanced when Residential Houseparents have a high degree of confidence and trust in each other; are highly motivated to abide by the values of the College; and, at all times, will do what he or she reasonably can to help create an atmosphere of acceptance, understanding and respect.
