Risk Manager

Full time, 5 year recurring contract


The Risk Manager provides specialised advice and professional support in regard to enterprise risk management including the development of strategic, systematic and illustrative risk management capability. This includes exercising effective risk governance, establishing customised infrastructure and implementing robust processes. A specific focus will be on the design of a more pro-active, streamlined and integrated approach to compliance and engagement across all management levels to support capability development and the building of a risk and compliance intelligent culture. 

 Applicants must:

  • have a current NSW Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
  • hold a degree or equivalent qualifications
  • have a working knowledge of WH&S and equity in employment and a demonstrated capacity to apply related principles and policies.

 Criteria

  • Demonstrated successful experience in a senior risk management role within a large decentralised organisation or demonstrated successful experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply developed conceptual and analytical skills in preparing and delivering organisational risk and compliance assessments, recommendations and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake and apply research to relevant system improvement initiatives and projects across organisational risk and compliance or governance areas.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering risk management workshops and managing risk registers and risk and compliance reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with managers and school leaders across a decentralised organisation.
  • Demonstrated written communication skills evidenced by the production of detailed and accurate reports and submissions.
