We are looking to recruit an outstanding teacher to work within our PE department. The successful individual will share our vision of achieving excellence and raising further the standards of teaching and learning. You will be a team player with a clear understanding of current and future curriculum developments. The post holder will require the ability to specialise in the teacher of rugby. The post is suitable for an NQT and the opportunity for part time working will be considered.
Thamesmead is a vibrant and successful school. In 2017 our students gained strong GCSE results. 83% were awarded 5 or more A*-C grades with English and Maths, 90% of the students achieved an A*-C at grade 4+ in English and 81% in Maths. Within PE, students studying the long course achieved 83% A*-C.
The School is situated to the West of London in attractive grounds within 300 yards of the River Thames, with good rail and road access. Our students attain high results in many areas of the curriculum and extracurricular activities are a strength of the school.
