The Post

The College is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and hardworking teacher to join the successful and rapidly expanding Criminology and Psychology Departments.

The post is available from 1 September 2020 on permanent, part-time or full-time basis (76.19% to 100%). The full-time teaching contact time at Reigate College is 22.75 hours per week.

Our ideal person will be able to demonstrate a track record of success in delivering the highest standards and achieving outstanding results. The post holder must be confident in the use of information technology in all aspects of their work.

The post holder will be required to teach both Eduqas Level 3 Criminology and Psychology A Level.

The post would equally suit an experienced teacher or newly qualified teacher. 

The Department

The post holder will work across two Departments – Sociology and Criminology Department and the Psychology Department. Both are situated in purpose built centres, with classrooms that are fully equipped with data projectors, white boards and Wi-Fi. The Departments have access to mobile learning devices to further enhance learning.

The Departments teach in a collaborative style, with all staff contributing to centralised resource packs. Students regularly progress onto university courses for Psychology, Criminology, Sociology and Social Sciences.

Each Department works closely as a team in a friendly and co-operative manner. Strong emphasis is given to mutual support by the exchange of ideas and materials.


The Departments offer the following courses:

• Eduqas Level 3 Criminology

• A Level Psychology

• A Level Sociology


The salary for this post is the relevant fraction of up to £40,888 (FTE) per annum.
