TEACHER OF FOOD & NUTRITION – Maternity Leave Post
For September 2018 we are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and well-qualified temporary Teacher of Food and Nutrition (maternity leave post) for this oversubscribed comprehensive school with a long record of high student achievement.
Last year 74% of students gained A*-C grades in English and Maths at GCSE, and our motivated students make excellent progress. OFSTED graded the school outstanding in all areas and commented “Students have outstanding attitudes to learning and take a pride in their work”. Food Technology is a popular option at GCSE and RMT, Graphics, Food and Textiles are all offered. The ability to deliver Food Technology to a high level at GCSE is essential.
Applicants should be keenly interested in how children learn, as well as committed to equal opportunities and a collaborative approach to teaching and learning. The school offers staff excellent resources in a state-of-the-art building, a wide ranging professional development programme and support for career progression. The post would suit either an NQT or a more experienced teacher.
