Job overview

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced teacher of LAMDA for September 2020, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Ideally, we would like an experienced LAMDA teacher with a track record of success in LAMDA examinations.

LAMDA is a thriving extra-curricular activity at Stafford Grammar School. LAMDA is taught to pupils of all ages from the Prep. School all the way up to the Sixth Form.

The LAMDA teacher at Stafford Grammar School is a self-employed peripatetic teacher. You will receive free use of a room in the school to teach your students and can adjust your work to suit you.

The current teacher has worked at the school for 15 years and has a very strong client base from among our students. It is hoped that these students will move to the new teacher. There is the potential for approximately 15+ hours of LAMDA teaching in school every week for a new teacher.

In September, the current teacher will conclude teaching grade 7 and 8 students in preparation for their examinations in December. Some of these students could also transfer to a new teacher for their final grades.

We send out information about LAMDA to new parents at the end of the summer term and the new teacher will be involved in promoting LAMDA to new students.

Stafford Grammar School is a thriving, independent selective school which provides small classes, high academic standards and a caring environment in which all pupils are known as individuals.

An application form is available from the Headmaster’s Secretary or on-line from the school’s website:

Closing date for receipt of applications: Friday 12th June
