About Stafford Grammar School
Located in Staffordshire, Stafford Grammar School is an independent secondary school for children aged between 4 and 18. It is a co-educational mainstream school founded in 1982. A total number of 417 students are enrolled at present. This consists of 208 boys and 209 girls. In 2007, Stafford Preparatory School opened on the same site. It now shares the same building and facilities as Stafford Grammar School. It is run by a charitable trust and both schools are run by one governing board.
Values and Vision
Stafford Grammar School aims to follow a balanced curriculum. It also encourages pupils to take part in extra-curricular activities, participation in school life and for every child to try their best to achieve their goals. The majority of the classes are mixed ability groups. The aim is for all students to become confident, happy and caring adults.
“Stafford Grammar School successfully meets its aim of being a school where high academic standards are attained by happy, confident pupils. Its pupils benefit strongly from the broad, well-balanced curriculum and the wide and interesting range of extra-curricular activities. Pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is excellent. Pupils enjoy being at school. Thy feel safe and always have an adult whom they may turn to for advice. Welfare, health and safety is excellent and safeguarding of pupils is prioritised. Marking of pupils’ work and assessment of their learning is good in some areas but inconsistent both within and across subjects and year groups in both schools.”
