The dynamic Maths department grows from strength to strength with students achieving 82% 4+ and 30% 7+ at GCSE. We have a thriving sixth form at Collingwood, with strong results in Maths A-level and further maths in 2017.
We are seeking an enthusiastic suitably qualified and experienced teacher of Maths to teach across the full age and ability range and become actively involved in a leading Department. Applications will be considered from exceptional Newly Qualified Teachers.
All new staff are provided an induction programme which includes and induction day and then bi-weekly twilight sessions, tailor-made for new staff. Our NQTs have access to the twilight programme running throughout the year providing them with the tools and support that they need to develop and thrive. Running parallel to these sessions, we also offer weekly twilight sessions to all staff, and these courses are driven by our appraisal process, to fulfil the specific needs of our teaching staff here at Collingwood. We invest in the professional development of all our staff.

"The school is very well led and is on a journey of continuous improvement. Parents express high levels of confidence in the school. Staff are overwhelmingly positive about leaders’ concern for their workload and well-being. Staff say that leaders act quickly on any concerns that they raise.
Pupils receive a good all-round education here. Although the school is large, pupils feel that they are valued as individuals.
