"The science department at Fullbrook are very welcoming, friendly and supportive. I know I can rely on the team for their professional advice on any situation. We regularly share good practice and as a result are constantly developing and improving in our practice. Fullbrook has given me the challenge I was looking for, as a result I have progressed massively in the past 2 years.”
Miss Asghar – Teacher of Science
Fullbrook is a mixed 11-18 Academy classified by Ofsted in March 2017 as Good. In 2017, 84% of students achieved five or more GCSEs at 4+ including English and maths.
At Fullbrook we believe that all students should be challenged to achieve more than they ever thought possible, and offer a variety of extra-curricular activities, including the Duke of Edinburgh scheme to enhance our students’ talents.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join a forward thinking Faculty where 81% of students achieve a grade C or above in at least one science subject at GCSE. A Level courses in biology and chemistry remain popular and continue to deliver good and improving results.
The Science Faculty consists of an inventive and vibrant team who are dedicated to raising achievement and providing students with an outstanding science education. Staff from all three branches of science are supported by an excellent team of technicians, and the team prides itself on building collaborative relationships that continues to enable everyone to meet the high demands of recent changes to the Science curriculum at both Key Stage 4 and 5.
Fullbrook offers a fully, tailored CPD programme which supports the needs of staff and encourages progression.
Whether you’re an experienced teacher wishing to broaden your experience, or an ambitious and dynamic NQT, we want to hear from you.
Details of the school and an application form are available on our school website.
Closing date: Thursday 8 February 2018.
Fullbrook is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS clearance.
