About the College
Worthing College is a very popular college with over 1450 students. Our recent Ofsted inspection judged us to be ‘Good’ in every respect. Our mission is to inspire, build confidence and prepare our students to live the life they want to live and is underpinned by our strong desire to become outstanding in the near future. Background to the post
The Sport curriculum is outstanding. Outstanding results, student satisfaction, value added, attendance and retention. Do you have the necessary skills and passion for sport that gets you thinking – “I want to work in that team”. If so, we would like to meet you. Due to staffing changes we are seeking a teacher for Level 3 BTEC. This post would suit either an experienced professional with a proven track record and exceptional references or a newly qualified teacher with a passion for sport and a desire to begin their teaching career in an outstanding team.
Sport Education is part of the Academy of Sport, which also includes Sport Performance, Sports Apprenticeships, Community Engagement and Active Health and Well Being. Consequently, we have a strong focus on developing the ‘student athlete’. The Academy of Sport has a national reputation and competes for national, regional and county titles annually.
