Temporary Maternity Leave Post
As soon as possible we are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and well-qualified Textiles and Food Technology teacher for this oversubscribed comprehensive school with a long record of high student achievement.
This is a temporary maternity leave post to run for this academic year or whenever the maternity leave ends. This year 74% of students gained A*-C grades in English and Maths at GCSE, and our motivated students make excellent progress.
In 2015 OFSTED graded the school as outstanding in all areas and commented “Students have outstanding attitudes to learning and take a pride in their work”. The ability to deliver Textiles and Food Technology to GCSE is essential.
Applicants should be keenly interested in how children learn, as well as committed to equal opportunities and a collaborative approach to teaching and learning. The school offers staff excellent resources in a state-of-the-art building, a wide ranging professional development programme and support for career progression. The post would suit either an NQT or a more experienced teacher.
