We have an exciting opportunity for a Key Stage 3 SEN/Transition Teacher to join our Academy. This role requires the post holder to be responsible for ensuring accelerated progress, high quality curriculum provision and effective teaching and learning within the transition area.
The Transition Department provides for learners with a range of needs. We liaise closely with the SEN department to cater for the needs of some of the schools most vulnerable students. Most children in the Transition classes have SEN or EAL and require support and nurture. In September the department is expanding and will have six KS3 classes and a small group of students in Year 10 and 11 doing ASDAN.
The children are taught Maths, English, Science, Religion, History and Geography by their main Transition teacher in one classroom. All other lessons are taught by subject specialists in mainstream school.
