Transformation Team - HR Officer

Full time, temporary position until 2024


Purpose of the position: 

In the context of actively supporting the Mission of Catholic education in the Diocese of Lismore, the primary purpose of this position is to work with the Transformation Manager and Team to support the Board and Director in the implementation of a new model of governance and management of the Catholic Schools in the Diocese. This role supports the Transformation Manager and Team in providing Human Resource Management expertise in the delivery of projects relating to the transition to the new governance model.

 Applicants must:

  • Commitment to working in harmony with Catholic Values and Principles
  • Have a current NSW Working with Children Check
  • Have a working knowledge of WH&S and equity in employment and a demonstrated capacity to apply related principles and policies.

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum degree in Business or Human Resource Management (or similar)
  • Significant generalist HR experience working at a senior level
  • Excellent people skills including strong consultation and communication skills
  • Experience in advising senior managers on Human Resource best practice
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, as well as working effectively across all stakeholder groups as required
  • Experience in the interpretation of industrial instruments – enterprise agreements and awards – particularly classification structures
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with a professional, proactive and collaborative approach
  • Flexibility and adaptability; with the ability to work in agile and ambiguous situations.
