Possibility of a TLR or Lead Practitioner role depending on experience. Required for September 2018.

We are looking for ambitious and highly motivated teachers to join our innovative and learning centred school.  Our last Ofsted inspection report (June 2016) acknowledged the remarkable and on-going transformation of the school: leadership and management, personal development, behaviour and welfare and early years provision were all judged outstanding.  This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining Wingfield Primary School as we recently moved into a brand new building.  We are part of the Compass Partnership of schools.  Further, we’re now working in partnership with Apple and the adventure learning charity Wide Horizons.

“Children happily play and learn alongside each other in a highly stimulating environment.” Ofsted inspection report (June 2016)

About Wingfield Primary School

Wingfield Primary School is located in Greenwich, London. With around 530 pupils aged 3-11, it is slightly larger than the average-sized primary school, and covers an extremely economically and culturally diverse catchment area, a fact reflected in the school’s student intake.  In addition to this, the school is a member of the Compass Partnership of Schools, a multi-academy Trust with schools in South East London and Essex.

Mr Ross Silcock

Values and Vision

Wingfield Primary School works hard to ensure the proper recognition is given to the talents and challenges of each individual child. The school works closely with other members of the Compass Partnership of Schools in order to share best practice and to best provide for the needs of its students. The school holds daily assemblies, and attempts to foster a strong sense of community around the school, encouraging students to show respect for themselves and others.

“Early reading skills are taught effectively in early years and key stage 1. There is a daily commitment to teaching phonics (letters and the sounds that they make) and reading to make sure that pupils become confident and fluent readers. Pupils use their phonics knowledge well to read unfamiliar words and demonstrate a good understanding of books they have read.”
