Headteacher

From September 2018, we require a Headteacher for our vibrant rural school, which has a family atmosphere and is sited firmly at the heart of the community.

Shebbear is a thriving, happy and successful Primary school, situated in beautiful North Devon – close to moorland and coastline. Our most recent OfSTED inspections (2012, 2016) assessed us as ‘Good’.

You will be an inspirational leader, effective communicator and excellent teacher, with a flexible approach, who will maintain our village school values. You will be a team-player, leading a stable, experienced and enthusiastic team who enjoy excellent relationships with pupils, parents and governors and who are consistently working to meet the developing needs of the school.

You should be able to inspire and nurture our children, and continue the successful development of our school. The post will include a teaching commitment (currently 0.4), however we are open to considering a variety of leadership models. The role requires an understanding of all aspects of primary education.
