Westcliff Primary Academy is a popular and successful school, part of the Fylde Coast Academy Trust. We have a strong team of teachers and support staff who are dedicated to ensuring that every child feels happy, safe and secure, loves learning and achieves their best. Our aim is to be “the best we can be.”

The talented staff have transformed the curriculum with even more creative approaches to teaching, to ensure that our pupils are inspired to succeed through exciting learning opportunities. Lessons have become much more inspiring, enhanced by visitors to school and exciting trips. As we are a “Beach School”, all classes visit the beach each term for high quality outdoor lessons. All classes have a daily “WOW time” (World of Westcliff) where pupils work practically on history, geography, science and arts knowledge, reinforcing memory and retention skills. We have placed a much greater focus upon reading, and our Key Stage 2 results reflected this with improved attainment in 2018 and 2019.

Confidence in a school comes from knowing and understanding what is happening within it. Good communication between home and school, personal contact with staff will build mutual trust and understanding to develop our shared responsibility to each child. The weekly newsletter along with regular Facebook and Twitter posts from teachers ensure that parents are always kept up to date with the daily life of our academy. We look forward to long and happy partnerships with parents to ensure that every child leaves school having had a wonderful, happy childhood and is well prepared for the next stage in their education.
