We are seeking to appoint an excellent Geography Teacher who has creativity, passion and drive to join our school to lead on Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4. Our Lead Practitioner will not only be responsible for driving outcomes in Geography at Stopsley High School, but also working alongside our Trust Specialist to model and cascade best practice and leading edge teaching and learning across the Middlesex Learning Trust.

 

Stopsley High School has been on a rapid improvement journey which included academising in September 2021 and joining the Middlesex Learning Trust. The School has benefitted from collaborative networking across the three schools, opportunities to showcase best practice and access to innovative training opportunities.  All of this hard work culminated in an incredibly positive Ofsted in September 2022, in which the school was graded as “Good” in all five areas. It is an exciting time to join us and be part of our journey from good to outstanding!

The successful candidate will be joining an energetic, forward thinking and highly ambitious team. They will demonstrate real enthusiasm for teaching Geography, underpinned by strong subject pedagogy and a willingness to work to make an already established department even stronger with a full programme of CPD and support available.

Stopsley High School is part of Middlesex Learning Trust (MLT) – a Multi-Academy Trust consisting of 3 large secondary schools. In September 2022, Stopsley High School received a full graded Section 5 Ofsted inspection. We are delighted to share that we are officially a 'Good' School across all areas. This makes now an exciting time to join us, as we are a 'good' school continuing to strive on our journey to 'Outstanding'.
