As a result of growth and expansion in our Quality team, Mencap have an exciting opportunity for an experienced quality assessor, to join us as a Learning Frameworks Practice Advisor (LFPA), working specifically across the Lifestyles and Work directorate on a national level. This is a unique and exciting role.

This is a full time permanent contract (37.5 hrs per week) and is a home based position with extensive national travel.

The successful LFPA will be supporting Programme Managers and Programme Leads to embed our Quality Framework in order to standardise best practice across our employment programmes, including our Three Ships.

We are looking for dynamic individuals with experience of implementing and using Quality Assurance processes to drive up quality, particularly around the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework. You will need to have a good understanding of how people with a learning disability can learn and make progress into employment. You will support teams, including managers, to make improvements to their practice through effective coaching and mentoring.  

As a LFPA you will be responsible for supporting the quality development and improvement of our ‘Three Ships’ programmes; Supported Internships, Traineeships and Apprenticeships as well as our other programmes, Employ Me and Me Time. 

The LFPA will be working nationally, across programmes: 

Supporting Programme Manager/Leads to embed Mencap’s Quality Framework, Carrying out observations of teaching and learning, together with checking learner files to support Self-Assessment. 

Supporting managers and teams to achieve identified improvements and meet a range of compliance requirements. 

Conducting best practice coaching, mentoring and workshop sessions with a range of staff in different roles from delivery staff and management teams.
