Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a committed and talented Learning Mentor to work at the Stanground Academy.
This is a great opportunity to combine mentoring skills whilst working in a supportive environment. Previous experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will;
· be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching skills
· be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
· possess excellent communication skills at all levels in order to be able to liaise effectively with parent/carers and outside agencies
The Stanground Academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), is situated in Peterborough, one of the UK’s fastest growing cities, and is transforming the life chances of its pupils by ensuring that every child can succeed, despite the challenges they may face.

The new Stanground Academy opened on 1 April 2012 and is one of the Greenwood Academies Trust’s Group of Academies, replacing the predecessor Stanground College. The Academy has since undergone a £24M building project and now boasts state of the art” buildings providing academic, vocational and sports facilities for pupils and staff. These include fully-equipped specialist rooms, extensive sports facilities, a dance studio, a theatre and high tech ICT equipment.
