Learning Support Assistant
0.5FTE to 0.6FTE depending on exact duties
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, well qualified Learning Support Assistant. The role requires flexibility to work across the whole school but the emphasis of this role will likely be on older year groups and will involve supporting students who are preparing for external examinations at GCSE and A level.
The successful candidate will need to have a minimum of NVQ level 3 as an essential requirement. Level 4 would be desirable together with recent and relevant experience of working with senior school age pupils.
The hours for this position will be 0.5FTE, however, there is also be the opportunity to increase hours with the responsibility of administration for the department, along with a Learning Support Co-ordinator position as part of our Longdon site. This will work in conjunction with Head of Learning Support ensuring all paperwork is in order and will not carry any line management responsibility. Please note that we are also advertising these latter roles internally as well as part of this current vacancy.
Following the latest excellent ISI Inspection received by the School, we are looking for the right candidate to fill this role to continue to support the outstanding education that our pupils receive that the report reflects.
