Are you a reliable, personable driver who enjoys working with young people and being part of a close-knit school community? St Peter’s Preparatory School, Lympstone is seeking a conscientious and professional Minibus Driver to play a key role in our pupils’ daily journeys to and from school.
This is a rewarding opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team at an established independent preparatory school, helping to ensure that our pupils travel safely, comfortably, and on time.
The Role
You will be responsible for transporting pupils on one of our 9-seater school minibuses, providing a calm, safe, and welcoming environment on every journey. In addition to the daily routes, there may be opportunities for additional paid hours supporting school trips, visits, and sporting events.
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Mornings: from 06:30 (approximately 2 hours)
Afternoons: from 16:45 (approximately 2 hours)
Contract: Permanent, term-time only
Salary: £10,100 per annum (including paid holiday entitlement)
Start date: Tuesday 1 September 2026
About You
You will be a safe, courteous, and dependable driver with:
● Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly manner with children and staff
● A strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare
● Sound knowledge of driving health and safety
● A positive attitude and an understanding of working in a school environment
A PCV (CPC) qualification would be advantageous, but is not essential. Drivers are expected to wear a uniform and maintain the highest standards of driving, appearance, and professional conduct while operating liveried school vehicles.

St Peter’s School is an independent preparatory day school for around 290 girls and boys between the ages of 3 and 13. Set in 28 beautiful acres overlooking the Exe Estuary, we offer a full and broad curriculum right from the start.
