Macmillan Academy is seeking to appoint a dynamic, compassionate and forward-thinking SEND Manager to work in our SEND department. The SEND Manager will work alongside key staff, children, families and external agencies, striving to obtain better outcomes for our children and young people.

About the role

You will work directly with our SEND students, building powerful relationships that raise confidence, aspiration and achievement.

You will:

  • Be responsible for the day to day running of the Learning Support department

  • Support the SENDCo to ensure that all EHC and Support Plans are implemented and regularly reviewed

  • Work with a variety of stakeholders, including: students, parents, staff, Local Authority and other external agencies.

Macmillan Academy is an academy based in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. 

The school was founded in 1989 as the Macmillan City Technology College, one of the first of 15 City Technology Colleges established in England.  The school converted to academy status in 2006. and is now part of Endeavour Academies Trust.

We are a 11-18 Academy & 6th form college, and offer a huge range of courses and opportunities to our students and staff.
