Senior Web Application Developer
To lead a small team of developers in the design, development and documenting of IT systems and reports; to be responsible for development and maintenance of the Management Information Systems and ensuring they meet the College’s needs.
Rate of pay: Scale SO2, Points 38 – 41, £32,605 - £35,454 per annum.
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week (including evening work and occasional early mornings and weekends).
Contract: Full time, permanent.
Location: NPTC Group (Initially based at Neath College).
Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have a Level 6 qualification in a relevant subject (Degree or equivalent) and/or equivalent relevant industrial experience. You should also hold a level 2 qualification in English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent) and be IT Literate to level 4 (including detailed knowledge of at least one of PL/SQL, .NET, Oracle Databases). Experience of developing applications and supervising and coordinating a team are essential. Experience of working in a customer services role would be advantageous, as would experience of project management.

Grwp Colegau NPTC Group of Colleges (normally abbreviated to NPTC Group) is a large body of further education colleges located across Neath, Port Talbot and Powys, Wales. The college was first established in 2013, following a merger of two other further education colleges in the local area. As a result, NPTC Group is able to boast of a wide range of modern teaching and recreational facilities. The college takes on learners from an extremely economically diverse area, and as such offers a broad range of full and part-time courses in order to accommodate for a range of people.

Owing to its size, NPTC Group is able to offer a huge range of different courses for a variety of learners. This includes a number of courses aimed at younger school-leavers aged 16-18, who make up a large proportion of the full-time students at the college, but also a series of vocational and professional qualifications, as well as foundation degrees. In addition to this, the college also has on offer a number of higher education BAs and BScs.
