Job overview

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity within the College’s Aeronautical curriculum for a B1 or B2 Aerospace Lecturer.

You will be working mainly within a small but highly motivated and dedicated team, teaching BTEC Level 3, CAA Part 66 Modules and Foundation Degree subjects to Exeter College students. This team is part of the wider Faculty delivering engineering and automotive, and on occasions you may be working alongside engineering colleagues.

The college has committed a high level of investment in the past two years to securing sector leading resources, this was observed at a recent CAA visit where our electronics and workshops facilities were identified as outstanding. This has been further enhanced with the acquisition of two aircraft which support teaching and learning in our virtual hangar.

The curriculum has most recently been highlighted in an OFSTED Outstanding report.

About you

Experience of working within the aviation industry is essential.

If you feel that you have a relevant engineering background and relevant expertise and are passionate about ensuring the UK’s future engineers are appropriately qualified, we would very much like to hear from you. While a teaching qualification or assessing qualification is desirable, we are interested in engaging with vocational experts who are keen to learn and develop themselves.

If you would like to discuss the role in more detail, please do contact Andy Wells, Head of Faculty, on 01392 400370 or via email at: andywells@exe-coll.ac.uk.
