Thorp Academy– a Northern Education Trust Academy is seeking to appoint a dynamic and driven 121 Tutor of Maths. The successful candidate must be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire pupils and encourage a passion for learning. Thorp is a mixed, 11-18 academy. This post will require the candidate to teach across Key Stages 3-5 whilst offering opportunities for an ambitious Tutor to be supported in their career development in the future. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Build positive relationships with all children, staff and parents.
- Demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies and high expectations.
- Show good classroom practice and be committed to developing children as independent learners and thinkers.
- Promote learning based on using good subject knowledge.
- Contribute to the drive for high expectations of achievement, attainment and behaviour across the Academy.
- First Aid qualification is desirable.
