Job overview
The Swiss International School of Qatar is seeking an experienced accompanist for September 2019. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be part of the founding team of educators that is establishing the Arts Programme at SISQ. SISQ will be a full IB school and has the ambition of becoming one of the leading educational institutions in the region.
This is a part-time position that is likely to amount to one day or two half-days of work per week, as well as extra rehearsals and performances.
The successful candidate will have the following essential qualities:
- Experience as a choir accompanist, with children in particular
- Experience teaching music and / or conducting a choir
- Ability to cope in a start-up environment
- A collaborative style and a good sense of humour
- A commitment to continuous improvement
- A commitment to student learning and safeguarding
The following qualities would be an advantage:
- Teaching qualification
- Ability to teach piano or another instrument in order to contribute to our after-school music programme
